First off, happy engagement anniversary! :)

I wandered over here from Chris Brogan's blog with the intention to find those hidden gems - uncommented blogs.

As of yet I don't have a specific date that I celebrate - maybe I'm too young, but I think '09 might be there year I should do something that merits annual celebrations.

No question we have a ton of family photos and videos that are in the same situation. I keep telling myself "this weekend" I'll start making more backups but never seem to get to it. Thanks for stopping by the blog!

Hi Mike, great post.. In my business (photography) I often wonder about this exact thing. Not so much with the professional work, but the personal work, especially of the kids and family. I've got several backups of all these images, but they're on CD's, DVD's, Externals, etc... Are we really going to be able to read a CD or DVD in say 5-10 years? I don't know.. Always leaves me scratching my head

I have exactly the same problem.

Song lyrics simply wash over me and I very rarely take them on board.

Some times when I actually listen to a song properly I am actually surprised to hear what the song is about.

I totally agree. The whole point of me putting this stuff up here in the first place is to generate a conversation. I can listen to myself talk anytime I want. ;-)

Comments will come if you take care to comment back, reply by email or on your blog and in some way continue the discussion. If I comment on a blog that I enjoy reading and get nothing in return I feel as if I'm just there to show numbers & fill space. I'll move along then, quietly but I'll go.

On my blog when I say that I love getting comments I mean it. I reply to them. Blogging is not just writing it's communicating.
